Vic Firth – The story of a brand born out of passion for music The story of the Vic Firth brand began in 1963. Its founder was American percussionist Vic Firth, who served as principal timpanist for the prestigious Boston Symphony Orchestra. Unable to find sticks on the market that fully met his requirements, he decided to create his own. What began as a personal project of a professional musician gradually grew into one of the most famous drumstick brands in the world. From the start, emphasis was placed on the quality of the wood, precision processing, balance and consistency of individual pairs. Today, Vic Firth sticks are part of the equipment of countless drummers – from beginners to professional players on world stages. The American Classic series has become one of the brand's most famous product lines, and the 5B model is one of its mainstays. What sets Vic Firth apart from ordinary drumsticks? One of the reasons for the brand's popularity is its consistent quality control. Vic Firth sticks are carefully paired according to weight and tone to give the drummer the most similar feel in both hands when playing. The choice of wood and precision of production are equally important. This means that with repeated purchase of the same model, you can rely on consistent dimensions and similar playing characteristics.
