Nylon tip – clear and pronounced cymbal sound The most distinctive feature of the model Goodwood GW5BN is nylon tip, which affects the character of the sound when in contact with the cymbals. Compared to a wooden tip, nylon generally produces a brighter, sharper, and more defined attack. This difference is especially noticeable when playing on a ride cymbal, where each stroke gains more pronounced articulation. The nylon tip is suitable for drummers who need a clearly defined rhythmic accompaniment and prefer a brighter cymbal sound. The resulting sound also depends on the cymbal used, playing dynamics, and technique. American Hickory – strong and flexible wood Chopsticks Goodwood American Hickory GW5BN are made of American hickory, which is one of the most commonly used woods in drumstick production. Hickory is popular for its combination of strength, flexibility, and its ability to absorb some of the vibrations generated when striking drums and cymbals. Compared to maple wood, it generally has a higher density and, with the same dimensions, provides a firmer feel when playing. It is suitable for regular use across various musical styles. Size 5B – robust profile for more energetic playing Size category 5B it is popular among drummers who prefer thicker sticks and a firmer grip. Compared to 5A models, 5B drumsticks are generally more robust. In contrast to the slimmer 7A models, they offer a greater volume of wood and may be better suited for players with a more intense playing style. The 5B profile is suitable for powerful strikes on the snare drum, toms, and cymbals. At the same time, it allows for working with softer dynamics depending on the drummer's technique.
