An authentic rain stick made from bamboo and hard tree bark. It is painted with primitive patterns. Surprisingly authentic sound can be achieved by gentle tilting. The sound spectrum ranges from a gentle drizzle to a loud noise when the clouds burst.
These sounds are caused by small pebbles, which fall through tiny notches - a spiral staircase inside the stick.
Made in a traditional workshop on the island of Bali.
