An authentic rain stick made of bamboo and hard tree bark. It is painted with Maori patterns. You can achieve a surprisingly authentic sound by gently tilting it. The sound spectrum ranges from soft drizzle to heavy noise when clouds burst.
These sounds are caused by small stones that fall through tiny gaps - a spiralling staircase inside the stick.
Made in a traditional workshop on the island of Bali.
