"Shinku" Matcha Bowl (chawan) – 430 ml, Dark Red
A traditional Japanese matcha bowl in a sophisticated dark red design. A flat base and higher walls facilitate the whipping of rich froth and comfortable drinking – ideal for tea ceremonies as well as daily preparation.

Suitable Use: Whisking matcha tea with a bamboo whisk (chasen)
Before the first use, rinse the bowl with lukewarm water. For preparing matcha, we recommend water at ~70-80 °C and whisking with a bamboo whisk (chasen) into a fine foam.
Hand wash only: as this is a handmade chawan, do not wash in the dishwasher. Rinse with lukewarm water; if necessary, use a gentle detergent.
Glaze care: avoid metal/abrasive sponges to prevent damage to the finish.
Drying and storage: let it naturally dry; store in a dry place.
