If the darbuka is supplied with a transparent head, small scratches are always visible on the head, as each darbuka is tested after manufacturing by playing.  Even one playing leaves traces on the transparent darbuka.

However, with each darbuka you will automatically get one spare head in the package. All darbukas are 100% new. 

Darbukas should be played regularly for the first few weeks after purchase, this will fully set the head and reveal the true beauty of this excellent darbuka's sound.
