What material is the handpan made of?
Usually in this price range you will find only handpans made of nitrided steel, which have a shorter resonance than the stainless steel used in our handpan.
We didn't want to save money in the "wrong" place and compromise on sound quality. Plus, the steel thickness is 1.2 mm.
How is our handpan made?
First, two mechanically pre-formed semi-shells in the shape of a wok are firmly joined. Then the tone fields are hammered into the material with experienced tools in precise craft processing. Once the "rough structure" is in place, individual tones are tuned. To protect the hand pan securely, a protective ring made of robust rubber with a decorative jute rope is placed around it.

Handpan handling and care
Even though a padded bag is included in the delivery, as with other musical instruments, we recommend that you handle the instrument very carefully. And the rubber ring will appreciate occasional spraying with rubber care (e.g., silicone oil).
