What material is the handpan made of?
In this price range, you will usually only find handpans made of nitrided steel, which have a shorter resonance than the stainless steel used in our handpan.
We didn't want to save money at the "wrong" place and compromise on sound quality. Moreover, the steel thickness is 1.2 mm.
How is our handpan made?
First, two mechanically preformed half-shells in the shape of a wok are firmly joined. Then the tone fields are hammered into the material using experienced tools in precise craftsmanship. Once the "rough structure" is in place, individual tones are tuned. To ensure the handpan is safely protected, a protective ring of robust rubber decorated with a jute rope is placed around it.

Handling and care of the handpan
Even though a padded bag is included in the delivery, just like with other musical instruments, we recommend that you handle the instrument very carefully. In addition, it won't hurt if you clean the surface every now and then with a soft cloth or gently treat it with a little cleaning agent, which you will find in our offer. And the rubber ring will appreciate occasional spraying with rubber care (e.g., silicone oil).
