What material is the handpan made of?
In this price range, you would typically only find handpans made from nitrided steel, which has a shorter resonance than the stainless steel used in our handpan.
We didn't want to save money in the "wrong" place and compromise on sound quality. Plus, the thickness of the steel is 1.2 mm.
How is our handpan made?
First, two mechanically pre-formed half-shells in the shape of a wok are firmly joined. Then the tone fields are hammered into the material with experienced tools in precise craftsmanship. Once the "rough structure" is in place, individual tones are fine-tuned. To protect the hand pan, a protective ring of sturdy rubber is placed around it, decorated with a jute rope.

Handling and care of the handpan
Even though a padded bag is included in the delivery, as with other musical instruments, we recommend that you handle the instrument very carefully. It also doesn't hurt if you clean the surface every now and then with a soft cloth or gently treat it with a little cleaner, which you can find in our range. And the rubber ring will appreciate occasional spraying with rubber care (e.g., silicone oil).
