Before using the whisk, soak it in lukewarm water for a few minutes (3–4 cm of bristles). The fibers will soften and break less. Whisk the matcha in water ~70–80 °C with fast "M" shaped movements until a fine foam is formed.
Hand wash only: after use, rinse with lukewarm water without soap and dry on a stand. Do not put in the dishwasher.
Drying and shape: let it dry on a stand (kusenaoshi) so that the whisk retains its shape and prolongs its life.
Storage: keep in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Lifespan: natural wear after prolonged use is normal; consider replacement if significantly frayed.
