This 9 tone field handpan with a D Kurd scale is ideal for beginners.

The central bass note (ding) is tuned to D3. And the chorus around it are the tones A3 – Bb3 (As3) – C4 – D4 – E4 – F4 – G4 – A4 .

What material is the handpan made of?

In this price range, you usually only find handpans made of nitrided steel, which have shorter resonance than the stainless steel used in our handpan.

We didn't want to save money in the "wrong" place and compromise on sound quality. And besides, the steel thickness is 1.2 mm.

How is our handpan made?

First, two mechanically preformed half-shells in the shape of a wok are firmly joined. Then the tone fields are hammered into the material with experienced tools in precise craftsmanship. Once the "rough structure" is in place, the individual tones are tuned.  To protect the hand pan, a protective ring of sturdy rubber with a decorative jute rope is placed around it.

Handling and care of the handpan

Even though a padded bag is included in the delivery, as with other musical instruments, we recommend that you handle the instrument very carefully. In addition, it won't hurt if you clean the surface every now and then with a soft cloth or gently treat it with a bit of cleaning agent, which you can find in our offer. And the rubber ring will appreciate occasional spraying with rubber care (e.g., silicone oil).
